The Wishart Node has obtained certifications and also continues to seek further certifications to assure clients that the projects they have entrusted to us are in good hands and that they can have confidence in the results. We seek to be the provider of choice when it comes to quality for your metabolomics projects.
ISO/IEC 17025 Certification
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ensures that a laboratory has a rigorous, top-quality, internationally-recognized management system in place. As such, the Wishart Node has achieved ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification for certain in-house assays, demonstrating we have the ability and competence to provide precise, reproducible testing.
Biocrates Certification
Biocrates has certified the Wishart Node as being qualified to provide services in relation to certain Biocrates assays in accordance with their standards, including the
- MxP Quant 500 kit
- AbsoluteIDQ p180 kit
- AbsoluteIDQ p400 HR kit
- AbsoluteIDQ Bile Acids kit
Upcoming Certifications
ISO 15189 Certification
The Wishart Node is on track to attaining ISO 15189 certification. With this certification, we will have the standard and capability of a medical testing lab under international standard requirements. ISO 15189 certification demonstrates a lab has a proper quality management system in place, covering various aspects including sample processing and reporting of metabolites as per medical testing standards.
CLIA Certification
The Wishart Node is also seeking CLIA certification. The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) statute of 1988 (USA) and its associated regulations specify the quality standards for laboratory testing performed on human specimens, including blood, body fluid, and tissue, for the purpose of diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, or assessment of health. CLIA certification demonstrates a test was done under strict standards, and may be necessary in some situations, such as reimbursement from a (USA) patient’s insurer.
