The Wishart Node of The Metabolomics Innovation Centre is certified by the International Organization of Standards (ISO)
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ensures that a laboratory has a rigorous, top-quality, internationally recognized management system in place. An ISO certified lab has the ability and competence to provide precise, reproducible testing and calibration results. With ISO certification and an extensive quality management system, our clients can be confident that the results they receive are accurate, reproducible, reliable, validated, and traceable. ISO accreditation also guarantees acceptance of results between countries without the need for further testing, which improves international trade.
The Wishart Node of The Metabolomics Innovation Centre is becoming CLIA Certified in 2022
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulate laboratory testing in North America. CLIA establishes quality standards for laboratory testing performed on human specimen samples, such as blood, body fluids and tissues, for the purpose of diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease. CLIA approval is required by testing laboratories performing medical diagnostic testing for hospitals, clinics and medical professionals or anyone reporting medical information to patients. With CLIA certification anticipated in the first quarter of 2022, the Wishart Node at TMIC will become the first metabolomics facility in Canada (and one of only a handful in North America) to be able to perform clinical diagnostic testing and reporting. It also means that we will be able to perform personalized metabolic profiling for those individuals who are interested.
We can help design a budget-friendly, quality-controlled metabolomics project, or provide services for projects that you have designed.
